the Radioactive@Home project on the BOINC platform appears to have shut down permanently, as confirmed by forum posts and its website being offline. The project likely ended due to the passing of its leading researcher, Professor Krzysztof Belczynski, and the subsequent conclusion of funding and an inability to find a successor to continue the research.
Reason for shutdown: The project's primary researcher, Professor Krzysztof Belczynski, passed away, leading to the end of funding and the continuation of the project becoming untenable without him.
Current status: The website has been offline, and forum discussions indicate the project is over.
Past issues: Before the final shutdown, the project experienced periods of unreliability, with servers being down for maintenance or due to transition issues.
Community impact: Users were informed in November 2024 that the project would end, with administrators thanking them for their long-term support.

Can't log in to Radioactive@home. Google AI returned this but I'm not sure if it's confusing Universe@home and radioactive@home . Can't find anything else to verify it

As I still have detector and donating my PC time for this project, I think it is to early to decide on the shutdown.

†Professor Krzysztof Belczynski passed away some time ago, after that here were some shorter or longer periods of unavailability, but project always returned.

Now we have only few days of offline status, we need to wait much longer time to understand if the project will not return.
