[necromancing mode]
I just looked for my first posts here, and as it coincided with the aquisition of my new machine I decided to reanimate this thread, and perhaps the others can provide their changes as well

My machines have changed a bit since:
The P4 is since about 2 years not crunching any more for BOINC because of the IT policy of my then-employer, it did crunch Folding native for a while but with my change of employer the machine simply stopped. My new employer doesn't allow any DC, so my new Centrino sits mostly idle or off.

My private AMD has changed it's owner, it's now my parents machine, and as they don't use it that often I decided against DC, most WUs would probably be lost because of deadline miss.

Now (since 2 weeks) a C2D E6750, running first @2.66, now @3.2GHz, is crunching beneath my home desk. The OS is Linux, first kubuntu, now ubuntu, perhaps I'm changing back again, perhaps I'll try 64bit some time in the near future, but I don't know for sure.

My host count will be a bit messy through this probably, but so what?

Any of the guests still remember who s/he was, in that old times when registering was not necessary for posting?
[/necromancing mode]

Edit:
I'm not running SETI any more, at least not in any countable volume, ~ 1WU per month.

Keep on crunchin!!!

Saluton,

My BOINC farm is not specifically a SETI farm, but SETI does run on all my clients.

Two PC's stay up year round. My XP PC is an AMD Athlon 3200 XP+. I also have a Mac G5 tower. It is a dual core G5 PPC 2.3GHz. Both of these have ECC RAM, which slows them down a bit, but helps with stability. The Mac runs BOINC on one core, and Folding @Home on the second core.

I also have a Linux box, which is currently inoperable due to a failed attempt to install Fedora Core 7. (Actually, several failed attempts, both FC 7.0 and 7.9.) It was running FC 5. I was able to get FC 6 installed, then tried to upgrade to FC 7 and killed it. Anyway, this PC is and AMD Athlon 2200 XP+. It normally stays off from late spring to early fall. The heat in my apartment, plus the electricity running the PC's and the air conditioner and fans, gets a bit much in the Florida summer.

I also have a PC issued by work, with a lot of leeway as to what runs on it. It runs Folding @Home, but only during the winter. It's an Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz.

I wasn't here back then, but I will post now. That way, when this thread gets resurrected again in three years, I will have something to talk about. FWIW, I crunch all BOINC projects possible.

I've had just one change to my little Boinc 'window box' -

My first machine was a 2.4GHz Celeron, crunched for a year, then it was replaced two years ago by this current machine; a 3GHz Pentium 4 H?T.

I'll probably keep running the single machine up to the half-million credits milestone.
Not a bad performance for a single machine farm...........

My current specs:

1 x Celeron 500 512MB
1 x AMD Duron 850 256MB

and for a really old spec:

1 x Pentium 150 98MB EDO Ram

I will be adding 2 more machines to my farm when I get time to build them:

1 x AMD K6-500 128MB
1 x AMD Duron 750 384 MB
