the title says all; and i'm looking at the project page and no notice of any problems any problem with the server of Cosmology ?

I would think that you have probably got hold of one of the old WUs that should have been deleted. Same happened to me last night. Just abort the transfer and resend request for new work. New tasks start arouns wu_101008_. I've had a couple this morning and they seem to run (and validate) just fine.

Edit: They took between 110 and 170 mins with 120 credits for each (Q9450@3.4GHz, XP Pro 32bit).
