Here comes an invitation for the first Online Discussion @ BRaTS:

Online Discussion
I have heard some positive responses about holding an online discussion about the results of BRaTS@Home.
Therefore, it will be held on Saturday, January 23 at 1pm UTC. I will post further particulars in the forum for this new post, found here: http://maxwell.dhcp.umsl.edu/brats/forum_thread.php?id=18


The discussion will be held on the BRaTS@Home channel on the freenode IRC server here.
Hopefully this is going to be a nice discussion with lots of questions to ask.

This was so cool and I wished something like that would happen more frequently!

IRC-like functionality should become part of the standard BOINC distribution for projects iyam.

I posted a suggestion to include the functionality in the standard distribution on the BOINC forum, so maybe if they decide to include it and it gets easy for projects to set up a discussion like that, we'll see them more frequently (yeah, I'm beeing optimistic ).
