Anyone know whats up with this project lately? I've been attached for about a year and finally got my first few work units recently, but after reporting one of them the project went offline and I have a couple that have been trying to upload for close to a month now.

I don't know anything about the project but ..... Ummmm, wouldn't they be past their deadline then? If it's not a lot of work/credits I'd just abort the uploads and be done with it.

Thanks, zombie. Haven't been able to reach the message boards directly.

Once again, I know nothing about these project(s), Zombie, but aren't you confusing TWO different projects? MalariaControl.net (currently listed as Online by the Scheduler Status list) and UCT Malaria (currently listed as Offline by the Scheduler Status list) ?

I'm just saying ....

No, I am not. Because the UTC site was (and still is) off line, the question was asked about it at the main site. The URL I posted was for a thread at malariaconrol *about* the UTC site. Read it and all will become clear.

Aaahhhh! Thank you zombie ... yes things are becoming clearer and the fog is lifting from around my brain

I didn't realize there was some connection between the two projects -- a brief read of the posts involved (too many individual posts linking to other threads for me to follow fully ) makes things somewhat clearer, although I'm still not 100% on the exact nature of the connection/relationship between the two. No matter though as I'm not actively crunching either project at the moment ... I was just barging in trying to help out (in my usual fashion - without a full grasp of the situation)

Carry on gentlemen.

Had this email re project:

"It's a bit difficult to get an answer to that. My feeling is that the project will unfortunately not return any time soon.

I know there is a student team working on the server side, but I have not heard of any progress on the science application side. This would be a prerequisite for re-launching the project. Running calibration jobs using a -very dated- version of our application no longer makes sense.

Hope this answers your question, sorry not to have better news.
Nick"
