I guess that we can say that after months of inactivity, this project is dead.

Ehh, it's been deader for longer. I expect it to keep splurting out test batches and site redesigns every year or two until the sun goes nova.

Not dead, only inactive. If I read it correct since a while ago, the development of Drugdiscovery will later also benefit Hydrogen, try to remember it touched the GPU app.

There's no practical difference when it's been so for months.

The site is broken; I can't even login.

It looks pretty retired to me, as worthy the potential of the project is.

That's a matter of opinion. The site and the forums are online, that's much more than other abandoned projects (f.e. luxrender, uct malaria, quantum fire).

What's the use of a read-only forum, since one cannot login to post there?

Other projects went dormant, if you will, and were retired in BoincStats until and if they came back alive. I think that right now Hydrogen is in the same situation.

I agree. I have said all along that we as a stats site should determine what projects are active and what projects are retired. Any project can be inactive and send stats exports until the cows come home yet effectively they are retired. What should be considered is an automatic placement into the retired category if the project is not issuing WU's, not maintaining a message board and in all other respect appears to be non functional after a pre determined time. It seems a waste of time to keep them in the active list for 12 months when one can't even access the message boards to find out what is going on and the admins do not care to explain to us what their intentions are. Get rid of them I say, put them in the retired category and if they come back up than reinstate them. At least this way we save a bit of time polling them all the time.

The same could be said for Androinc, Malaria Beta, Quantumfire and maybe also BOINC alpha.

Test projects are another matter, they are intermittent projects. But, yes, Androinc and QuantumFire and Luxrenderfarm should be retired along with Hydrogen, until they show signs of life.

As far as I know, LuxRenderfarm was given up anyway and the project is dead since months. I don't think it will come back alive so this really can be retired.

Yes. Hoshione, Admin from SG asked in Luxrender-Forum but no aswer about luxrenderfarm yet.

Androinc will coming back, but because of the time-dependent problem by the dnetc admin, I think it will be take some time more.
