As a long-term Anime-fan since childhood I never thought someone would make a character for BOINC, but now it is there.
I'm impressed, it looks really good, however I'm not a big fan of twin-tails, so that doesn't fit very well from my opinion...

I think those humble twin-tails are quite decent for the depicted character.

LOL, funny thing is I know this anime and already watched it years ago. Too bad it didn't get more than one season, it was one of my favorite (Comedy-)Shows.

For me, BOINC-chan already has a name but I won't say it here, maybe it is better to not name her as far as its not wished.

I'd say she has moved to Berkeley for study and maybe nobody knows her family but that's okay because she found a lot of new friends ^^
(Her father is rumored to be some sort of computer scientist because she always has the latest tech )
Some of her hobbies have been pictured already but I think she is very good with socializing, cooking and volleyball as well. She is clearly a team player and sometimes cares for other people more than for herself^^
But that does not stop her from studying and doing her job as a research and teaching assistant.
Maybe she lives in a shared apartment with her sometimes annoying flatmate Grid-Chan.
Ofc there are some "rival" girls at university like Foldina who is better in protein-folding and always tries to steal her popularity

Boinca sounds a bit generic and flat to me, but well, the inventor has the right to name her.
I named her Nica
