There are several projects in the "My Projects" section of BAM! that I actually do not have an account for. They were added long in the past when I did have an account with those projects, but those projects deleted my account due to no activity/credit. Now these projects are stuck in my BAM! Projects listing and BAM! now no longer lets you remove a project. I realize it states a project must not be attached to any hosts and the project must not be retired in order to remove a project from the list. There are no hosts attached, and the projects are not retired, yet there is still no option to remove the project from the list.

On one of the projects I went ahead and made a new account, but of course BAM! will not work properly with the project as the CPID is split. If I could remove the project from my projects list on BAM! and then re-add the project this would resolve the issue. That is how I used to do it in the past and it always worked great. Removing the ability to remove a project from your list has broken that. So now I have several projects in my list that BAM! thinks I have accounts with when I actually do not, with no way to remove them. Meaning, I could never do work for these projects in the future, if I want to continue using BAM!.

AFAIK BAM! shows the projects at https://www.boincstats.com/bam/projects/ based on the BOINC-username you use to log into BAM! itself. So if BAM! shows a project, then your BOINC-account is found at that project.
If you changed however (not using BAM!) in one or more projects your password or e-mail address, then BAM! can't perform actions for that project as the credentials don't match anymore.
You could try to use the "forgot my password"-option on the project site to match it again with your current BAM! settings.

Hate to revive an old thread, but I'm having a similar issue. BAM attached me to Rosetta@Home with a new account instead of the one I have over 11m work units completed on. I already changed email addresses on Rosetta so if I could drop the project and have it refind it, it should pick up the correct Rosetta account... but I can't find where to drop the project from My Projects....

I did end up figuring this out. Turns out if you use the classic BoincStats site you can remove projects. It just will not allow you to do so with the new layout. To use the classic version of the site go to classic.boincstats.com instead of just boincstats.com. I now will ONLY use the classic version of the site, where things actually function as they should.
