Hi,

I've been setting my preferences in BAM and saving to projects; this seems to work and the settings get through. But there's a problem with the maximum download and upload rates.

In BAM, I have these set as:

Maximum Download rate: 64 Kb/s
Maximum Upload rate: 32 Kb/s

But when I look at my preferences page in my projects (I've looked at Sztaki, Einstein and Predictor, they all show this) I see:

Maximum download rate: 0.064 Kb/s
Maximum upload rate: 0.032 Kb/s

With these settings, my client always tries to use the full bandwidth of the connection. I believe that the client sees the 0.064/0.032 values and ignores them. If I set the preferences to the right values in a project rather than BAM, my client does the rate limiting as I ask. If I set a rate to 6400 in BAM, the project shows 6.4. All this leads me to believe that it's BAM that has the problem (not the projects) and that it is out by a scaling factor of 1000.

I have changed the script that deploys the settings. It multiplies the download/upload rate with 1000 before deploying.

Don't fix things any quicker, you'll catch fire. And thanks a lot for BAM!, it's great!
