I noticed the other day when I asked BAM! to find my account at a few new projects I had manually signed up to that when BAM! contacted BOINC after finding the accounts it automatically detached me from the projects.

then a few days later you had added some other projects that I had manually signed up to so I thought I best find my accounts for these projects with BAM!, this time however I found my accounts than went into Host List, and where the new projects where I chose the option to automatically attach these projects. Synchronized with BAM! and all went well the projects didn't disappear from BOINC as I had told BAM! to keep them attached

Just wondered is it not possible for BAM! to detect that these projects are already attached when I find my project accounts, and stop BAM! from disconnecting them automatically, I know you can go to host list to counter act this but surely BAM! should recognise this?

Hmm, weird.

This was reported a few months ago, and I already updated the code the prevent detaching by introducing a 5th state for hosts (checking, in addition to attaching, detaching, attached, detached).
In checking mode (which is default for all hosts) BAM! checks (on first connection from the host to BAM!) whether the project is already attached on the host or not and updates the BAM! database accordingly.

Thinking about this, this may happen because you did not add the new projects to your BAM! account directly after I added them and the hosts connected BAM! before you did so. This would reset the checking mode.

I check this. If so, it will be resolved in the next version of BAM!.
