Hi,

i have a strange thing in a new host with boinc
when i add the host in my bam account, i can't see it and the user-id is false
my user-id is 26471 but the manager send my host this :

can you resolve this ?
what can i do ?

Is this a new host, or has it been attached to BAM! before? Is it a fresh install from a download from official sources?

In the first connection to BAM! it already has a host_authenticator. These are issued by BAM! only. The authenticator is of a host belonging to the other user. A fresh install cannot have a host_authenticator.

a previous installation with this host has crashed with the harddrive a few days ago
so it's a fresh install on a new debian but it's the same hostname than before (r-serv.rldf.eu.org)
perhaps this is the problem
i've remove the old hostname in my bam hostlist when i saw the problem, i've reinstall boinc but the problem is already present

what can i do ?

I removed the host from the database. Remove BOINC from the system, delete the BOINC directory so nothing is left. Then reinstall, attach to BAM! and post the Host-ID it gets.

perhaps must i click on "Stop using BOINCstats BAM!..." before you remove the host in your database ?

Not when you do as I said: uninstall BOINC, remove everything, then re-install.

i have uninstall boinc, remove the directory and reinstall the boinc 5.10.45, same bad ID

OK, lets try again. Simply detach from BAM!, stop BOINC, remove all files in the BOINC directory starting with 'acct', then restart BOINC and attach again.

If you get the wrong user-id again, then please post the contents of acct_mgr_reply.xml. Make sure BOINC doesn't connect to BAM! again, I need the first BAM! reply. After the first contact the next contact is after 60 seconds!

Followed your instructions- detatch from BAM - remove "acct" files etc

What's wrong with it?

I don't know. Please tell me - look at my stats
A sudden drop of 1,839,774 credits in 24 hours -
Cosmology & QMS dissapeared from my stats -
No update from 2 hosts on QMC for the past 3 days (QMC site shows update)
GPUGRID & WCG seems fine -
Am I doing something wrong?
