I've been using BOINC for a while and discovered BAM only recently. Now I tried to sync my BOINC manager with BAM, it says it did sync, but there's no projects to be seen in my project list, project resources etc., although I have four projects running, three of which are BAM-compatible according to the list on the left here. Signing up for projects doesn't do anything, either, I get the message that my accounts were successfully connected, but again, nothing in my lists and the local client doesn't get any new projects either, not even after I update it manually. Am I doing something wrong, do I have to wait until the next daily update or something like that? If yes, please tell me what to do, and if not, something's broken.

I think you only have to be patient. Your BAM!-ID isn't linked to your BOINCStats account yet, and there's nothing you can do to speed that up.

Your preferences/projects won't be uploaded from your hosts to BAM!, only the other way around. You won't (shouldn't) loose any projects you're currently attached to. If you've set work preferences locally on a host, they also won't be overwritten by the web settings.

Have you looked under "Project resources" yet? From there, you can control which projects to automatically have your clients join when they are first connected to BAM!. From there, you can also have all your hosts join/detach a project. If you click the "Show hosts" link for a project, you will get a listing of your hosts and some extra options for them on that particular project. The "Host list" should show all the computers you've connected to BAM!, and will allow you to manage them individually.

As a side note, you must use the same account name and email address on all of the projects to have them compatible with BAM!, in case you run across any errors when trying to add projects to BAM!. Hope this helps, and hope you enjoy BAM!

My project resources list is empty, although I've added several projects via BAM! successfully (according to the message the website gave me).

I guess I'll just go with Gundolf's answer and if that doesn't help, I'll run around screaming again.

Have you gone to the "Sign-up for projects" page and clicked the "Find account" radio button for every project you're currently signed up for? If you did, were there any error messages that came up? Are those projects still displayed in the sign-up list?

I see there is a user "madd1n" in the stats database that is only signed up for WCG... I'm assuming that's you. No points in the last couple of weeks, though. There is a complication with the way WCG runs their site which makes it difficult to connect to BAM!. About the only thing you can do about that right now, is to keep trying "Find account" every now and then until it works.

Because that account only shows one project, have you used any other account names/email addresses to sign up for projects?

As I already said, I already did that. No error messages. The site always says the action was successful. Yes, they still are displayed in the sign-up list.

Different account names - yes, but most are the same. eMail address is always the same.

The stats signature thingy still says my account hasn't been connected to BOINCstats yet. Isn't that taking a bit too long?
