Hello.

I have two existing accounts, one at set@home and one at climateprediction.net. They have been generated with the same email-adress, but different passwords.

When trying to search for them I get:

Log:
Suche nach einem bestehenden Konto bei Climate Prediction -> -206
Suche nach einem bestehenden Konto bei SETI@Home -> -206

And nothing else happens. No button to add or something.

So, whats up ?

regards

nico

I think that might be the problem. BAM! needs to know the password to log in, so they have to be identical at each project and BAM!. I'm just guessing here though.

Well, then BAM! has a heavy conceptional error in programming - if the BAM!-PW needs to be identical to the projects password (which is non logic - to introduce a constant where a variable is in question). It could be expected that BAM! then asks:

"Your BAM!-PW does not match the projects PW. Pleas fill in the projects PW."

So that would mean to change the pw in the projects…

No, not cool…

If you were never asked for a different password, I don't see how you can expect BAM! to get around this... As it's currently set up, you must use the same email address and password (also username, if you want your stats to be combined properly). Using one BAM! account to control multiple project accounts, or accounts with different passwords is not supported. I'm pretty sure this is how GridRepublic and ProgressThroughProcessors handles it, as well...
