Hi there,

I was not a BAM user until recently.

I started using BAM just for WCG because I was not able to add it individually.

The problem is that after adding the BAN my client stopped downloading work for the GPU.
So, Collatz and milkway are not downloading tasks anymore.

Where can i check the setting that is cousing this.

I already set the preference to GPU(ATI) work. No cpu tasks. Only GPU ATI Tasks.

Collatz conjecture(GPU) had the same problem.
So, i think its NOT a problem with the preference of the projects. Its a BAM preference that i cant find.

I cant find the edit. this is my log.

The above lines are the ones I would pay attention to (for starters).

If your primary use for this host is for crunching I recommend set to allow GPU use while active, set suspend work if loads exceeds 0%, and upgrade your version of catalyst and drivers to some version higher than 9.2.

Have a look at the "Work preferences" in your BAM menu. This is much like the project preferences page you'll see on each project's site, but BAM has the capability of saving these preferences to the projects for you--so you can make preference changes in one place, but it doesn't work the other way around. You're probably set to the default preferences.

i know for sure that its not the project preference cuz i was folding with the gpu before start BAM. I started BAm and the gpu folding stops.

But now BAM controls your preferences and sends THOSE to ALL the projects (overriding what you may have originally had at the projects).

I dont have time to test it right now but i'll confirm this weekend.

Those are the projects preferences.
The thing is, all projects preferences is just like this:
Suspend work while computer is on battery power?
(matters only for portable computers) no
Suspend work while computer is in use? no
Suspend GPU work while computer is in use?
Enforced by version 6.7+ no

And those are the BAM preferences:

Do work while computer is running on batteries? Yes No
Do work while computer is in use? Yes No
Use GPU while computer is in use? Yes No

If BAM preferences overrride preojects, how can it be

I'll try to add WCG in a different way so i can stop using this. I really dont need it cuz i do have only 1 PC right now.

Yes i did

Your preferences (both global and host specific) allow the GPU to be used while the user is active. This suggests that you have local settings that override the BAM! preferences.
