I can't add to the previous post so my apologies.

Basic information:

1. I use passwords containing upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols - which are called special characters at WCG
2. WCG does not permit special characters in passwords.
3. Therefore I do not use BAM! to control WCG

This worked well.

4. At the start of October, I left on what turned out to be a 9-week-long road trip during which I drove nearly 23,000 kilometres. For this trip, I shut down most of my computers and shut down most of the projects on the few I left running.

5. I returned a week ago and restarted the computers and found that WCG is detached from my WCG project computers on a daily basis.
6. BAM! just shows that my password is incorrect for WCG yet, seemingly, detaches me, daily, from WCG.

I can not find any reference for this change to BAM! and frankly, I do not want to spend much time searching for a reason especially as every HP laptop battery, initially, failed to charge upon the laptops being restarted (though all but 1 now do charge) plus I have much else to do before Christmas Eve.

Before I start detaching computers from BAM!, as this constant detaching of WCG is annoying, would anyone have an idea what was changed during my 9-weeks of travel?

As a test, I detached 1 computer from BAM! and attached it to WCG. I then attached another computer, yet again, to WCG which is still using BAM!

The result is that BAM! detached that computer from WCG - even though it has an incorrect password.

As no-one was able to provide any thought as to what was changed in BAM! since the start of October; I am forced to start detaching computers from BAM! as though I do not continuously crunch WCG, I do crunch WCG with all computers some of the time and having BAM! detach computers, daily, is unfair as too many tasks are never completed before computers are detached.

I wish BAM! well but given IBM's refusal to adopt passwords consisting of upper and lower case, numbers, and symbols, at WCG; it leaves me no choice but to cease using BAM! as I have no intention of changing every other project's password just to suit IBM.

If you do it using BAM, you only need to change the password in one place... It will change the rest of them for you.

You're detaching from BAM to suit IBM, so why not change your passwords?

No... to suit IBM, I'd have to change, what, more than 2 dozen passwords.

I am detaching from BAM!, as something changed in BAM!, since I did my road trip, where it now detaches me from WCG where it never did so before I left on my road trip - at the start of October.

I'd rather detach from BAM!, knowing everything will, then, work correctly, than to change dozens of passwords to suit IBM and have BAM!, then, work correctly - maybe (the post below this one seems to me to bring doubt into this statement).

The more convenient route, for me, to follow, is to stop using BAM! when I reattach a computer to WCG. Besides, I have no desire to use a less secure password, than I now do, for all projects - except for WCG.

I fail to find the contents of acct_mgr_request.xml and acct_mgr_reply.xml (Bug Submit Guidelines! rule 8) in any of your posts.
