Hi,

My BAM ID is spalan and the host I have the problem on is 09-NF085, which is set to use work preference "work".

I have newly installed BOINC and also, in the settings, clicked "Delete local settings and revert to web setting" after connecting to BAM. However, while I have set "Do work while computer is in use?" and "Use GPU while computer is in use?" to No in BAM, they are activated in BOINC and the PC is crunching happily while I work. I have re-synchronized with BAM, but this does not help...

Cheers,
Stefan.

Don't link to your xml-files with all the secret information like account keys.

If you can't delete this anymore, ask Willy to remove it.

To prove it, I just logged into your SETI-account and could change all your information like your email and therefore also your account-key.
So be carefull.

Hi Crystal Pellet,

Thanks for the save and also thanks to Willy for removing the links! However, I followed the bug posting rules which say one should remove "the authenticator and passwords". Specifically, I removed the authenticator, the host_authenticator and the password_hash. What else do I have to remove?

Cheers,
Stefan.

PS: Maybe it would be good to be more explicit in the guidelines, so nobody else falls in the same trap...

In the files you linked to, the <account_key>xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</account_key> 's from all your projects were still there.
With that key you can login to the project without username/email/password in case you forgot your password or your email-address

To your problem, perhaps someone else can help you, because I don't use BAM!, but BOINCtasks to control my PC's/projects.

Hi,

Okay, thanks again. I have now removed this information. The links to the files are:

Cheers,
