Hi,

i have installed boinc on 150 linux boxes (ubuntu 10.4)
All the hosts attached to bam using the weak auth does not sync to bam automaticaly.
only the host attached to bam with standard auth sync evry 2 hours like defined in my bam options.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but
must i detach all hosts and re attach with full auth ?

I confirm weak auth not work whith Bam,

I'm testing a few host, and for each host i must:
1- detach boinc from BAM
2 - manualy delete host in bam host list
3 - manualy attach boinc to BAM with FULL auth.

So i(ts work, but my problem now is that i have more than 150 host registered in bam,
and i can't remove all these host manualy.

So how can i do for automaticaly remove a large number of hosts from bam?

I attached a host with weak auth to test it, but even if I can reproduce your error, I can't fix it.

In the acct_mgr_reply.xml is a value "repeat_sec". This tells the host when to reconnect to BAM!. If it's in there but the host doesn't do it, its either a host error (clock problem?) or the manager is not doing the right thing. I verified on my test installation and the value is there, also after repeated connections.

ALSO: the manager doesn't know it's connected to BAM! with a weak_auth. Only BAM! knows that. As far as the host is concerned everything is the same as with a normal account.

BTW: don't "up" your threads again. Doesn't really encourage me to be quicker and I read everything anyway.

so the solution is to re-attach with full auth, but for this all my host must be deleted from bam!
it's possible that someone from the staff can remove all my host that not sync bam since 2011-11-01 ??

do you want i report this bug on the boinc forum?
