If I try to get into the detailed stats for a machine by clicking the individual detailed stats icon for that machine I get (in red letters):


Host ID doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit.


If I try to synch my Client with BOINCStats, the existence of one machine is not recognised, and the end result of the attempt to synchronise is the following message put up as an error message in a pop up over the BOINC Client at my end:

Failed to Update Account Manager

Click Finish to close

Messages from server:
Opening and ending tag mismatch: global_preferences line 50 and venue
.
Opening and ending tag mismatch: working_global_preferences line 49 and global_preferences
.
Opening and ending tag mismatch: acct_mgr_request line 2 and working_global_preferences
.

Other symptoms:
- The machine ID of the one that doesnt synch, and gets the popup is not known. If I expand the Host list to show all, the ones related to this machine are all typed in red, and dont show in the active list. Its a 3960X with 2 x 5970s 16Gb RAM
- If I synch the other PC - BAM ID 344852 the synch appears accepted at this end, and is recorded under the ID in terms of date/time, but little else is there, cant check propewrly as clicking the detailed Icon gets the "Host ID doesnt exist in BOINC Combined.... etc" mesage shown above.
- If I synch the Laptop (Host ID 290380) I get the same results and symptoms as with Host ID 344852

You get that error because the XML send from the host to BAM! is incorrect, there are already several threads about it.

This post seems to have some cure to the problem: http://boincstats.com/en/forum/18/7334,1#113335.

Had a look at that link re solution.

I went to WGC, associated all three machines with the Default location and deleted all other profiles at WGC, then updated all machines with WGC via BAM, and resynched all machines with BOINSTats Manager. Error messages this end when sycnching BAM have gone away, and no recorded messages in Notices.

At BOINCStats end, the three machines are now correctly recognised, although clearly the credit side has yet to synch in - will wait a few days to see how that goes.
