Hi,
I have a little problem joining to my existing climate-prediction-account from inside BAM.
If I try to Login to my account on the projects web-site everything is ok.
If I try to activate the project in BOINC as a "single-project" everything is fine.
But when I try to add the project to the BAM-managed projects I get the messege that there
is no response from the project (server?) !?
Is there something wrong within BAM or do this problem come from climate prediction?
All in all it would be nice to manage all my projects with BAM - otherwise:
either all projects or none...
I think a hotchpotch would be sub-optimal.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

See http://boincstats.com/en/forum/19/9909 for a bit more info, although it doesn't solve anything...

Hello,
ans thank you for the information.
It seems to be a sort of neverending story getting problems with climate prediction and BAM.
Meanwhile I switched back to full manually configuration of all my projects, including climate prediction.
OK, it's a heavy clicking orgy to manage everything. But at least everything is working fine now.
Maybe later I will come back to BAM.

Yeah, no problem. I wish I could do the manual thing. But, currently running 15 projects across 7 machines would make that clicking orgy a horrible experience for me. And, soon it'll be 29 projects, and I'll probably add a few more machines to my collection. I guess I'll have to use BAM! for 28 of them, and add CPN manually to every single one of them. So sad in this day'n'age of technology.

I wish one person from BAM! would talk to one person from CPN, and hash things out for good...

Sadly, no.

I already have an account on CPN, same username/email/pwd as on here, having already accumulated some credits. Therefore, I cannot ask BAM! to create me a new account, so I cannot verify if that behavior works now. However, for me, in the "Sign-up for projects" page, clicking the "Find Account" for that project used to say "No response from project" pretty quickly, like seconds. Now when I click that, it changes to "Checking for existing account" and stays like that for minutes (I waited up to 5mins), without anything happening, and the text stays the same, without changing to "No response from project". However, if I refresh the page or leave it and then come back, it goes back to "No response from project".

Damn, I made a typo.

In my test the check for an existing account worked.
