Thought a shiny poll would be nice for all the new users of BAM and us existing users.



Willy has done a fantastic job with BAM and I think we should all give him around of Applause, now all we need to do is persuade the remaining slacking projects to get there servers upgraded so BAM can work to its full potential.

Overall I do like BAM a lot. Though some things arent working as they should(some not at the fault of BAM), but thats to be expected this early in dev.

I just came to post that BAM seems to be working as advertised. Anything I do in my BAM account gets passed to the projects then on to my client. All very slick indeed.

But then I see Tanks post and I have to ask what is not working? I found at first that some things did not seem to work right after signing up but then you have to realize that BAM needs to communicate with the projects before everything lines up.

What does seem to be lacking is decent documentation as to how to use BAM. But I muddled through it, playing with settings, clicking on this, clicking on that until I understood what each part does or does not do.

BAM Shouldn't even work on yours at all as it suppose to be blocked from using earlier clients.



PS, there are only a few projects that don't support BAM fully yet, but they are coming along nicely I don't even notice they aren't supported as I aint one of these people who micro manage settings I just leave BOINC & BAM to it

Well don't tell my client that, lol. I need to use that one for einstein or i'd only claim 7 credits for a result worth 40 credits. And please don't deactivate my account either because I like how BAM works!!!

Yeah, bam works fine from the site end. Any changes I make get pushed out to projects and thence to clients. Just wish I could add hosts.

Just wish I could attach at least one project to my BAM account

I wasn't interested in any in-between answers either a yes or a no so for my purposes I have omitted nothing

I go for a yes to the BAM ! It goes closer towards getting the information about my various clients I have in my boinc farm.
