I have the problem, that one of my PCs doesnt ask the project for new work.
I could tell him via BAM to stop getting new work for one project.
The goal was to switch to another project. So i have set this PC via BAM to "new work".
But it seems, this PC is not asking for new work for this other project. Last contact to the project was yesterday.

I have no idea if the PC is really not asking for new work or just ignores the BAM-Setting. But the last contact to BAM was some minutes ago.
I would like to force an update for the project. Is this somehow possible via BAM?

Any other idea, why the setting in BAM for asking new work is ignored?
Maybe the project was not attached with BAM but in the Boinc Manager - could this be the reason?

I believe the "New Work" option actually prevents that host from fetching new work from that project.
Turn off the setting and then tell the host to update the project, it will then contact the project at your request and should get new work if some is available.

It is worth noting that hosts will not get work from projects that do not have work units that suit your host (No/Wrong GPU, CPU is too old to finish WU in time limits etc)

"...then tell the host to update the project..."

Exactly this was my problem - i could not tell the host to update the project from remote.
Now i am back in the location where the PC is situated, clicked the update button and got some work.
In the meantime the PC was some hours in idle.
Maybe coincidental there was a shortage of WUs at asteriods@home the last days and today they have again new WUs.
