Hi all,
I started playing with BOINC around a month ago and setup BOINC client on a virtual machine in Azure. I added several projects to my BOINC client and they have been processed nicely giving me some statistics. For each project that I joined I created an account at the projects home page. Some days ago I decided to start using BAM! and created an account here. Now I'm facing with a couple of issues:
1. When I try to sign-up for projects, select a project from the ones that I already joined and created an account for, I always end-up with the error saying that my password incorrect. However, if I use my registration email and password on the project's home page, everything works. The credentials are valid. What am I doing wrong here?
2. Another issue: my Azure host does not have public IP. If I try to use account manager in my BOINC client, I always end-up with the message: "The URL you supplied is not that of a BOINC account manager." Here I kind of suspect what the issue is, But I don't know how to work around it. In the log I can see that the app tries accessing this URL: https://bam.boincstats.com/get_project_config.php. If I simply try to open that in browser on my Azure VM it shows me some Cloudflare Captcha challenge. If I manually solve the captcha then I'm getting some HTTP response which, I guess, it the expected one. If I perform the same request from, say, Powershell, it gives me HTTP 403. I guess the BOINC client app ends up with the same, if I try to start using BAM! from there. Is there any way to work around this issue?
Thanks in advance for any help.
