I am currently running Boinc on 4 computers (but only for about a week now). The first one was set up weeks ago, I just installed BOINC Manager and added the projects (without using BAM or GridRepublic).

After creating an account both on BAM an Gridrepublic (don't know, why I sign up on both) I set up the three other computers. These computers are shown with their statistics in both BAM an Gridrepublic. My first computer (the one with the most credit so far) is shown an BAM (but no statistics available) but not in Gridrepublic.

I decided to use only BAM from now on, but I am wondering why it is taking BAM so long to get the statistics for my first computer (for at least 4 days nothing happend so far). May I have done something wrong during registration? I used always the same mail adress or account name.

Thanks for advice

From your message I don't understand whether you have added later the first computer in BAM. Because you must make a computer to use BAM! in order BAM! to show its statistics.

PS: Moved the topic to BAM General

Ok, here's what I did:

1) Installed BOINC on first PC, added three Projects (Seti, Climaprediction, Rosetta) manually without BAM.

2) Weeks later, created BAM account (and GridRepublic account). Installed BOINC on second computer and switched BOINC-Manager to be managed by BAM. This worked because the second computer (and so the other computers) instantly began retrieving work units from every project.

3) Switch the BOINC-Manager on the first computer to be managed by BAM. I got no error message so I figured everything was fine.

There are two more things I think I should add:

a) I can see my first computer within my BAM account (along with the other 3), but not within GridRepublic. The F.A.Q. says it may take a while (but a week?). If this is normal, then sorry to have bothered :-)

b) I think - after I logged into my BAM Account for the first time - I may have signed on to all three of my projects (step 4 of the "step by step" instruction on the BAM mainpage), although I already had an account there. Could this have caused a problem? ps: I may not have read the "optional", so maybe step 4 doesn't make a difference...

I hope this information is useful enough to give me some advice (maybe I should wait another week)

OK, here's the thing:

I used the same nickname all the time, but the first time (without BAM) I used a different email-adress.

Now I have the follownig situation:

pc1: done weeks of work (email adress ABC@mail.net)

pc2,pc3,pc4: done weeks of work (but a couple less then pc1), (email XYZ@mail.net).

If I read the FAQ correctly I cannot join my accounts. How can I delete one of my accounts?

Thanks

I am very frustrated at the moment. I stopped all the work on my first computer and uninstalled BOINC. Then I re-installed it and connected to BAM (with my only BAM Account that is). But this computer STILL uses my account with the ABC-email (see last post) and still shows my credit earned on this computer so far (but with the wrong account so to say).

I am willing to forfeit my credit just to get this one computer to work with the others (for there seems to be no other solution for my problem).

How can I "clean" my computer from any BOINC results etc...??? (No, "format c:" is out of question ;-) )

Thanks for advice

Make sure C:\Program files\BOINC is empty after uninstalling. Maybe it leaves some files in case you're uninstalling to upgrade.
