I installed http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.4.9_macOSX_universal.zip on my Mac Mini Intel.
I think I didn't set "Default attach" in step 5 on http://www.boincstats.com/bam/ "Attach new host by default?" and as this seems to be required by step 9, I ended up using the URL method in BOINCManager to add Rosetta@Home. The project was listed in Resources | My Projects on the BAM website with resource share 100.
"Attach new host by default?" is a BAM option, set via the web.
Aside: Intuitively I expected Resource share should total 100 as in 100%, so this 1000 number does not make sense to me.
Resource shares can have any number you want. Doesn't have to total 100. If you set 100 on two projects, each will have 50%. 100 in one 200 in other, they get 33% and 66%.
BOINCManager is the download and BOINC Account Manager is BAM, right?
Yes.
Anyway, that was yesterday. Today I went back to BAM and added SETI@Home while Rosetta@Home was running. I selected the default attach and it does not show up in BOINCManger Projects. I reduced Rosetta to 50 resource share and kept SETI at 100. Both say Last update Success. Oh, I clicked BOINCManager | Project | Update a few times also.
The resource share is reporting "50 (100%)" for Rosetta as if the BAM setting was applied. Before it was "100 (100%)". I just don't see the new SETI Project added/attached.
Did you attach BAM as an account manager? That is the most important step.
