Hello,

I have experimented a curious problem.

That is I have different computers and two of them are home used computers.
For that reason, I gave them different share resources directly in the "host list", by changing ressource sharing for both home-computer.

The other should folowing the main "ressource gestion" (indicated by a - in the host list).

But when my home-computers synchronize with BAM, sometimes they get good values, and sometimes not.

The same is done for the computer that follow the resource gestion.

So I ask me of I just made a mistake somwhere or if it smells like a bug compatibility ?

For information, I use Boinc Manager 5.8.11, and the problems appeared for all the project I tried (SETI, CPDN, Malaria, Proteins, Spinhenge).

Thanks for helping me understand what's the problem.

Ok,

I have made some tests in order to observe what's wrong.

- First the main global ressource sharing of BAM seems to modify the ressource sharing directly in the projects (exept of CPDN, that seems to does'nt work)

- Next the specific host ressource sharing of BAM worked good with the hosts

- The problem is that when an host synchronize xith a project (mainly in order to request new WU), the ressource sharing are updated from the project (and these resource sharing are different from the specific host ressource sharing of BAM).

- The only way to reobtain the specific host resource sharing of BAM is to close and to reopen Boinc Manager.

- So is there a fonction I did'nt see that prevent this change ? Or is these something to do in order that after an ask for new WU, the project will read the specific host resource sharing directly ?

NB : All tests have been made with BOINC 5.8.15
