Update: I managed to download the client from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ (the download links at http://de.boincstats.com/page/download.php should be updated, it's certainly very discouraging for non-experienced PC users to get 404's.

A new problem has occured: I cannot connect to BAM using the guide at http://de.boincstats.com/bam/instruct_attach.php. It simply refuses my username. I tried the name by itself, then with a leading "[BOINCstats]" as in the guide, but it just tells me "User not found!"

I confirmed my registration, configured my PC, chose my projects etc. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to wait for a certain period until I can connect?
Any advice appreciated.

what url are you using to attach? It needs to be bam.boincstats.com. Also, you need to use the "attach to account manager" and not "attach to project".

I've been carefully following the step-by-step instructions at Attaching to BAM! (more precisely the German version, which is the same), including "attach to account manager" and bam.boincstats.com. It works to the point where I submit my username and password.

Ok, sorry, was my mistake. I had an error in my password.

I think this should be moved to BAM General.
