Hi Folks,

sorry, but after hours and hours of search i didnt find a solution or answer:
On my site "My Projects" i have 5 Projects. Everything works fine except WCG.

"No response from project".

Same and correct eMailadress, same and correct "Cross-Project Id".
Where or what is the Problem? What can i do?
I´ve this Problem now for weeks. Clients and Stats works fine...

Is there a simple Answer? ;-)

Cheers & Thanks

Mike

You are not the only one, this problem has probably everyone who is on WCG and on BAM.
It's because WCG has a complete different structure which is not based on BOINC and therefore BAM can't read the status.

I'm getting this as well, seems you are describing a bug (apart from the actual communications bug), you are saying that the project responded with something that is not understood (so a response was received. It doesn't report the error but misleadingly says "No response from project" (which would be incorrect).

I'm trying to work out where incorrect project and computing preferences come from and these are not set in:

  1. Boinc Local Computer preferences
  2. BoincStats preferences
  3. The WCG preferences (these alternate between 610 (WCG pref), 600 (BoincStats pref) and 300 (not set anywhere).

Have you got the latest version of the BOINC manager? I remember there was a problem with "erratic" preferences (not coming from any project or BAM) being set in one version, as I had a similar problem myself.

Thanks for the reply, I have worked out WHEN the 300 appears, its every time the BOINC Manager (and so also the backend, its not a service) starts. I can update the project to get the 610 , exit and restart and its back to 300.

I just upgraded to the latest version 7.2.39 (x64) and the same thing happens.

Is the problem only on 1 host?
If so, I advise a clean install by de-installing BOINC and a complete removal of the BOINC-directory structure.
If not, you can try to raise the debugging info of the BOINC-manager, see http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration for instructions.

Without documenattion for what the debug output shows its unclear, but "resource share 300" is coming from "http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/"?

It sure looks like it
BAM! and WCG don't communicate as smooth as BAM! does with other projects. Did you try to login into your account over at WCG and change the resource share to 100?
