I Deleted my old account ID: 34996 as after 3 months my split CPID's could not be joined and shown in my account leaving me with no CPID and unable to see correct daily credits. Is there anything I can do to recover my previous Total Credits as I was number 9 in the world Credit listings.

My Split CPID user ID:3933858 - Cruncher Pete shows my correct stats but I can not log into BAM on that account. Clicking BAM takes me to my New Account ID: 241537. How do I fix this?

Further to above, I am surprised that I was able to create a New Account using the same user name and Password as in my ID:34996. Will my Split CPID's ever be corrected?, or what should I do to achieve this?

When you delete your account all data is removed from the database. It is then possible to use the same username and password for a new account.

Your BAM! account has nothing to do with your split CPID. The actions you took will not fix a spit CPID. To fix a split CPID all projects need to report your stats with the same CPID, the problem lies there, There are numerous threads in this forum about how to fix a split CPID.

The only thing you accomplished by deleting your account is that stats of any project that was attached to that account and has stopped while that account existed will now forever be orphaned.

Thank you Willy for your reply. Unfortunately, it seems that you forgot to answer my question. How do I fix the problem. How do i get back my World Ranking and how do I access my stats that shows my accumulated credits...Three months of waiting for the CPID's to sync is surely long enough. (See my posts in CPID problems) Note that I read and followed all advice that was given. Read all threads on CPID problems. I asked should I do to get a CPID as my than active account had none. I lost it when I changed my credentials and clicked renew CPID.I Please warn users Not to change their emails address and Password and do not delete your account for you will loose your years of accumulated credit. I feel like deleting BOINC altogether for surely the answer is just forget it, it can't be fixed. Start all over again...

Please note that under Cruncher Pete, ID: 3933858 the Detailed stats are up to date and is currently updating credits on projects that I am currently pursuing. However, it has no associated BAM account attached to it for when I click on the option BAM, it takes me to user ID 241537, the new account that I just created. If I than click on detailed stats in this account, it tells me that I have no credits`.

Not true, I told you "There are numerous threads in this forum about how to fix a split CPID.". Other than that, there are no tips, no secret hints of other tricks that I can do on this end for you. BOINCstats doesn't generate stats, the projects do. CPIDs are created by the hosts and communicated with the projects, both are not controlled by BOINCstats.

In short, there is nothing I can do for you to fix this.

Willy, you are referring to numerous threads on how to fix a CPID split problem. May I ask which thread in particular fixes the problem? I have read all the posts in the forum relating to loss of points, split CPID, changing email addresses and passwords. I have crunched all projects with 8 machines for weeks. I have waited for THREE MONTHS for the CPID's to sync. My BAM account has no CPID so I can not see how projects would sync with mine since I have no CPID. No body told me how can I log into one of those BAM ID's that has my correct stats

You admit you can't do anything about it, yet you as a BOINC Manager don't appear to care to point this out to the Committe that there is obviously a bug in the system for you just can not change your email or password without loss of credits, world standings or loss of account. For a long time other users have stated that they have never fully recovered from a split CPID, Retired projects credit were never recovered, etc, etc.

You can delete my account and my posts if you wish for I had enough of BOINC Stats, as nobody seems to care and help to recover my Credits and World standings. The answer: Read the threads relating to split CPID is not the answer for I have read them a number of times, followed any apparent helpful suggestions . Please quote a particular thread that will result in fixing my problem. To date that was the only advice that you as a manager gave me. My apologies for wasting your time.

As a point of interest applicable to my problem. Both Signature for Boinc Stats and FreeDC Stats use my name as Cruncher Pete with email address: theseeker1942@gmail.com same password for all three. They are using CPID: 913861bc46b433f8a6716db0301dec6 for the last three months with correct credit totals. Why do I not have a CPID at all and why is it that BoincStats can't use the same CPID FreeDcStats have been using the same CPId for the last three moths and is still reporting correct daily credit.

The account I am speaking of has an ID:3933858 and I am logged into it, but it has no BAM details for it refers me back to my current new account as per my Avatar on this forum.

Willy, I am disappointed that your Stats have not kept sufficient safeguards to protect a users credits statistics. 7 months has passed and despite reading all your forums on similar problems all I can say is that the problem is with BoincStats and it can not be fixed by the user. Let others be aware and willy, I hope you will emphasize this . Do not change your name and or email address for you will loose your credits and it can not be recovered for there is no safeguard built into the system. Unscrupulous users can change your details, delete credit or account and BoincStats have no way of protecting your account.

Currently my World Position is shown as 746, yet even after 7 months since the initial change because of security concerns My signature at .statseb shows me as position 9 with a credit of 654,953,698,750. According to Willy the Admin of this site he can not do anything about this DISAPPOINTING.

Willy, whilst I appreciate your time and efforts to maintain a statistics site, I maintain there is an fundamental fault or bug in the system, mainly lack of users credit maintenance and security. Let the users decide if I am right or wrong.

Last year somebody accessed my account , changed my email and password for he knew my old one. (I know, I should not have trusted him, but I had a reason related to my health). I tried to change it back, but since I had no access to the new password I deleted the account and started a ne one using a new user name, email address and now new password. following that, I changed my name, email address and password back to what it was before. Whilst the system accepted the changes, I could not get back my precious credits. I could not get back my old totals despite I used the same details. I was told by Willy the manager of this stats that he can not do anything for me as I have deleted my account. I believe this is an inherent fault in the system for there was not enough thought given to safeguard the users details and credit. He also told me that there are numerous thread relating to CPID problems. I state that I have looked at every thread and I could not find an answer. Please note the following as at 21 Jun 2022:

1. I have checked my account detail of every Active projects and they have all the same User name, Email address and Password . They all refer to a Cross-project ID: 9131861bc46b433f8a6716db0501dec6.

2. I log into my BAM Account that contains the same User Name, Email Address and Password. It identifies me by an ID. Yet, when I click on "My Detailed Stats", it shows a different User ID but the same user name. Note also that the CPID is not the same as used by ALL projects.

3. I have been crunching Boinc since 2000 and I recently found out that Free-DC Stats still uses the same CPID and gives my correct total of Credits and World position. It is a Pity that BoincStats can not do the same .

Tell me have you found issues where you could not see your correct data after a few days, weeks or months and was it ever corrected or were told that it can not be corrected.?

To my experience the threads on these forums may or may not help to get rid of a split CPID.

The Rechenkraft.net team account had a split CPID.
After running every possible project on several machines (some projects are Windows only, some won't support Windows and thus, one machine wasn't enough) the number of CPIDs went down and finally become one again. This took some days.

On the other hand one of our members had to change his e-mail-address.
After he did so, parts of his work are on a split CPID, and it seems he won't get them back, whatever he does.

I can't say what the problem in your case is, but as far as I understand Willy is only hosting the statistics which are provided by the projects and can't just go and merge them. I don't know what other stats pages do, but maybe Free-DC can provide you or Willy with some ideas.
