There is some action to finally solve the mysterious split CPID problem. Check this issue at the github site from BOINC Feature Request: Option to manually override external CPID
TLDR: the first issued CPID for a user will be the base for all other projects.
The first account created with a given email addr determines the CPID, even if that project goes away, or the user detaches from it

Finally, a fix after 20+ years!
"Split CPID" should of never happened in the 1st place.
