When I click the link to go to My detailed Stats in BOINCstats web page I get the message "CPID does not exist or user has no credit" or something similar to that. But I have a CPID and I have credit from at least one project. I'm confused, why is it doing this and how can I fix it?

Thanks..

The only thing you need is patience :-)

Wait at least 24 hours to let your BOINCStats account link to your BAM!-ID, then all will be okay.

I have waited, about a week now, still no joy.
Anyother suggestions?

Did you tried in My BAM menu -> Sign-up for projects -> Find Account on the projects where you have an account?

Seti@Home Beta says it can't find my account which makes sense as I thought I'd signed up to SETI@Home "normal"
PrimeGrid is not in the list

Those are the only two projects I'm attached to

Any more ideas?

Thanks..

If PrimeGrid is not in the "Sign-up for projects" list means you already signed up for PrimeGrid and
it should be on your Project list in your "My BAM menu".
The only thing I suppose you have different email addressees on PrimeGrid and here with your BAM-account.

Can't be different e-mails as I only use one. Both projects are in my project list in BAM.

I'm really confused now.

What could it be?

Oops, I messed up message creation date an join date :-)

The search for "ianfuture" only returns one result, and that user is only member at PrimeGrid, not SETI.

Is your CPID on your Main account page the same as on your PrimeGrid account?

Hi,

my CPID on my main BOINC STATS page is: a590826dc9d483e8f1af4aef35a1332a

As far as I can tell the one on the Prime Grid page is different. However Primegrid does have info that I am working on both SETI and Prime Grid and in the BOINC Stats if I go to Project List > then detailed stats there it gives me the same CPID for SETI and Primegrid, but they do not match the above CPID.

So now I'm even more confused!!

Is there a fundamental problem with my BOINC STATS account? or CPID?

How can I correct it?

Thanks..

I've just been looking around and my user stats signature graphic does not contain SETI info, and when I try to look at only the SETI stats image it states "invalid user id"

Does that help?

Thanks..

Only one of your three hosts (the one-core intel) has credits at SETI, and it was created there only at 30 Aug 2009. Perhaps the host stats haven't been exported since then, because SETI had troubles with the database server.

Other than that, I have no idea. Perhaps it gets better if all your hosts have returned work units at SETI, which should be possible again. I've just downloaded some WUs.

Thanks for that. That could be the issue. Only problem now is the host with the AMD CPU doesn't seem to like running BOINC and it causes it to freeze the whole PC, no matter if its SETI or Primegrid work. Hmmm

I'll work through all my WU on each host, if possible, and see what happens when they update. So I might be back asking questions in here in a week or so!!

Thanks..

Did you try running without screensaver? Otherwise, the SETI optimised apps are told to be more indulgent with AMD hosts.

First of all: did you try resetting your CPID? I did that for you and your CPID changed because the one in your account was no longer valid.

The second problem is that BAM! simply doesn't have enough information to set the correct CPID for you. You have three projects in your BAM! account, all three with a different CPID. BAM! then just picks one and since Murphy works here, it will pick the wrong one.

So you have to get your projects straightened out (equalize email addresses and passwords), have one host attached to all three of them, wait a day, then refresh the CPID here.

Report back when you have done that and at least a day has passed after doing so.
Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.

Willy, thanks for the extra info and help.

I signed up to all projects with same username, email and password.

I have one host attached to all of them.

However I noticed the SHA1-collision project is not running at moment. I tried removing via BOINCStats but this is still in the client project list on the machine. On the web stats pages there is no mention of it any more.

Could this be related, the cause, or a symptom of the problem with CPID?

Should I edit XML file to remove the SHA1 project then try your suggestions?

Thanks..

Hmm, no reply for awhile. I've finished all my work and updated my CPID as of 19:15H BST Thursday 17th Sep 2009. Let's see if that corrects the problem in a few days.

Why can't I get the SHA1-collision project out of the BOINC Manager though?

[EDIT- 19:35H] - Just asked BOINC Manager to sync with BAM and lost Primegrid and SETI from project list but still have SHA1 there. Any ideas why? Would this be related to updated/changed CPID?

Thanks..

you can quit using BAM!, detach from SHA-1 and then reattach to BAM!

I've managed to get rid of the SHA1 project by doing as you said but no other projects re-attach when re-connecting to BAM. Is it too soon to expect that after changing CPID or is there another problem?

[EDIT] - Just remembered(the shower's a great place for thinking!) that this Host machine was removed from all projects in BAM so that'll be why it's not getting any Projects in list! Will try on another Host to see if that works ok - I expect it should be fine.

Thanks in advance..
