I once had a signature of the form www.boincstats.com/signature/user_NUMBER.gif, but at some point, it began showing someone else's data.
I went to my profile and found a BAM ID, and substituted that for the NUMBER part, but again, got someone else's data. My profile shows a blank for CPID, so that dosn't help. I clicked "renew CPID", and it's still blank. The FAQ says that if I go to my detailed stats page, I will find an ID number there, but no, it's not there as promised. And nowhere in the documentation do I find a name for the magic number that is part of the signature URL. Is it called BAM ID? CPUID? or something else?

Why is such a simple thing so complicated? I notice that when I travel through small towns, all the side-streets are marked with signs, but NOT the main thorofare, presumably because "everybody knows" that. Is this the same "everybody knows" syndrome?

I noticed in a side-menu: BOINCstats/Signature, so I selected that and got a dialog for selecting signature parameters. After I clicked "save", I saw that the preview signature below the dialog contained the message "Your BAM!-id is not linked to a stats account yet!" But I have an account and a password, and I can see my stats on a page, so I must have a "stats account", and I have (and know) my BAM-ID. So why aren't they linked? And what must I do to link them? And, BTW, the end of the signature URL was ".png" instead of ".gif", although both get the same result.

At least it appears that the BAM-ID is what should be part of the signature URL. So my BAM-ID = 57793, and so the signature URL should be http://www.boincstats.com/signature/user_57793.png (or .gif)
But I get BillysburgM as the user in the signature, and SETI as the only project -- that's not me.
Does that mean that BillysburgM stole my BAM-ID?

I did find this one on your detailed stats page (as promised ), right between "Cup Rank" and "Best five days".

No, since "Your BAM!-id is not linked to a stats account yet!" you can't use your BAM!-id here, but instead your BOINCstats-id, which appears to be 80272.
