Hi everyone,

I've changed my e-mail and now I see two accounts.
One of them has a retired project and I don't know how to join them.

Thanks!

Well, I tried but I obtain the message is:

"You don't have credit in retired projects or the project accounts are not registered in BAM!."

and I had credit (4,660) on SHA-1 Collision Search Graz.

Any other idea?

One proposal, but I haven't tried it yet:
Change your email in an active project, lets call it project A, to your old SHA address. Be sure that you have at least one host where projects with old and new address are attached. As the CPID should sync within a few days, all active projects should stay together - and hopefully you can then join SHA via syncronising your old projects. If that was successful you can try to replace your email at project A again with your current address.
Best wishes and good luck!

Well, the matter is that I can't attach to retired project (SHA-1) and actually I haven't any pc with it.
I've readed the FAQ (Why do I have duplicate/split accounts in the BOINC combined stats?), but I can't find solution.
Any ideas?

Same problem (problem with duplicate accounts where one of them with a retired project.). BUT i have same emails in both projects. (The ONLY problem can appear with casesensetive comparation)

At "Sync retired projects" cant select retired project - checkbox inactive.

Here is search result and both account: retired and current.

in my BAM accoutn if i hit "My detailed stats" i redirected to this page, which is account statistic of retired project.

"6: Is your BAM! CPID not lining up with your project CPID's: make sure the projects in question have at least webcode revision 21603. If not, ask them to update! Check the webcode revision here."
There are nothing about software version in Malaria Control.

The problem is that you only have two projects in your BAM! account, an active project and a retired project. The do not have the same CPID. In this case, none of the CPIDs has a majority so each has a 50% change of being picked as your BAM! CPID. And in accordance with the law of Murphy it picks the wrong one. Your BAM! CPID is equal to your retired project, therefor it is grayed out on the sync retired project page because it's already equal to your BAM! CPID.

Quickest way to solve this? Add another project to your account.

Same problem for me :

I changed my e-mail address for all of my projects in 2009. However, I couldn't do it for Riesel Sieve, since the project close in 2008.
As a consequence, I now have two accounts with the same username but different mail addresses, and no way to change the address for my Riesel Sieve account.

This is my actual account.
And this is my old Riesel Sieve account

Is there a way to merge them ? Riesel Sieve doesn't even appear in my "Sync retired projects" page.

Thanks in advance !

No.

You never correctly added Rieselsieve to your BAM! account (last status is 'no account' because of 'project down'). Therefor it has no CPID or project user id and therefor no way to link it to any Rieselsieve account.

You can never have three BAM! CPID. Only one is picked from your project CPIDs. You are mistaken projects CPID (displayed in the stats) with BAM! CPID.

Since you now have three different ones, BAM! still can't determine the correct one.

And your username doesn't have influence on the CPID.

Did you add that new project to one of your hosts?

Your situation remains mostly unchanged, four projects, two with a CPID (not equal), two without CPID.

Please read the FAQ regarding split CPID and the other posts about split CPID (there are plenty).

It's not true... here i got 2 project with SAME CPID MilkyWay and Malaria. In top of previous pages i can see EXACTLY SAME:
"BOINC Cross Project IDentifier 55b6c81beb0eaaf3eacdbb8b7be5222d"

and ofc retain Aqua@home

I did read FAQ few times and do everything FAQ says:
1) i do use same e-mails
2) i do have (EVEN 2) system(s) with all projects this and this
3) i even follow "...not too important..." thing and have SAME nickname in all projects.

It's senceless
If i did fail in some of that points just tell me where am i wrong and why...
