Tried to find the answer in the forum by searching for "retired", but something obvious didn't jump out at me... So, sorry for the spam.

Had to change my email address since I don't work there anymore, which means my CPID changed. It changed from 6e1978a4abf088a92334c29b04062678 to 2f998e84d53b4ef813b308bf9fbb3ec8. I waited 48 hours and all my projects that are currently churning on some machine ended up migrating nicely to the new CPID... Cool.

Of course, except the one retired project, Spinhenge@Home, where I have 2,408,192.00 credits locked up, about 1.3% of my combined credits.

A few posts I read referred to a "Sync retired projects". I am not able to find that. But that is probably since I am currently using GridRepublic as my account manager, and only now trying to switch to BAM!. I have not, yet, since I wanted to first do the email/username cleanup across all my current & potential future projects, create a nice big My Projects list at BAM!, wait for the CPIDs to settle, and then start using BAM! on my machines from a clean slate.

So, how do I get this retired project's old CPID reset to the new CPID?

Or, is this something that will get taken care of by rule #7 on Willy's post: "The big all project encompassing CPID update is during Sunday night. Wait until Sunday to see if your BAM! CPID lined up with your projects." (I doubt it since my BAM! account finally displays the new CPID after 48 hours of limbo, and nothing changed about the retired project)

Or, am I just going to lose those ~2.5M credits?

You will find the "Sync retired projects" function under "BOINCstats" in the menu on the left-hand side of the page when you're logged in.

Unfortunately, if you were not a member of BAM when those projects were marked as retired, you will not be able to use that function. It's a bit of a security "feature" since there is no way to verify that you are the owner of the old account(s) without access to them at the project. I don't know if any of the other stats sites have this capability, but at BOINCstats you're unfortunately out of luck unless the project(s) you are having issue with come out of retirement at some point in the future and you can log into them again.

Oh, no. 2.5M points gone, just like that?? Since I use BOINCstats for my stats, I luckily don't care much about the other stat sites...

But, as much as I appreciate the security feature aspect of it, I can prove that those are *my* points instead of something I found orphaned while looking around on BOINCstats and decided to claim as my own. Yesterday I took a few screenshots of both of my accounts for the old & new CPIDs while they were still in limbo, for the account + overview + projects pages, showing some projects under the new CPID, other projects under the old one. Now that all migrated from old to new, one could look at these screenshots and at the ones I just now created, and see that the right amount of credits finished moving from the old to the new account over the last 24hrs, only leaving the retired project behind in the old account, proving that the old CPID really belonged to me, therefore I am the rightful owner of those 2.5M credits.

Please, pretty please? Since the sync feature works if BAM! can prove that the points rightfully belong to the person, and since I can prove the same without going through BAM!, can somebody with the right access/tools (Willy?) do it on the database side on my behalf? Please? Those points were earned on old machines that didn't have 6 cores and high powered NVidia cards; i.e. they were earned through dedication & tenacity! Don't let them go to waste!

Here are the screenshots of the OLD account when most but not all projects had already moved to the new CPID, and BAM! CPID was still the old CPID. They show that two projects were still left in the old CPID, worth 118.5M credits, plus 2.5M in the retired project. And, the BOINC Combined line shows exactly what has been transferred from the old CPID to the new CPID, about ~63.5M.

Here are the screenshots of the NEW account at the same time. It shows that the projects already transferred amounted to 63.5M credits, i.e. exactly what the old CPID lost above, plus whatever my machines had churned and reported that day.

Projects

Here are the current screenshots of the NEW account after all the projects migrated to the new CPID, and BAM! CPID is now the new CPID. Since the BAM! ID is the same between the above Account screenshot and the one below (i.e. 37744), they show that my CPID changed from the old one to the new one as I claimed were mine in my original post, and they also show (through the BOINCstats generated URLs that luckily have a UserID that seems to be unique for each CPID: 3123 for my old CPID, 3481327 for my new CPID) that those CPIDs were owners of the above and below screenshots even when the CPID is not visible on the screen. Plus, the credits show that my account now has ~182M credits, which is 63.5M+118.5M from above, without the 2.5M!

And, the old account is now left with just the retired project:

QED

I hope somebody (Willy?) can do something about this... At least for the sake of the amount of time I had to spend to create this post in such excruciating detail!...

Spinhenge should line up with your main account after the next daily update.
