The processor is a dual core PowerPC. It could be interesting, but PPC is nothing revolutionary. What *is* new is the co-processor, which seems to be a programmable array of integer processing cores. While PPC processors are usually not strong on floating point, and the XMOS chip is integer only, it could still show promise.
