And the 28 I saw of yours was based on Sept 25th and 26th validation.

So how to explain the points of AMD Users? Which is greater than that of me and Chris combined?

I am guessing some of the 24 work units you validated on the 24th made it to the stats update that started the event... Since stats exporting isn't in real time, that is a pretty good possibility.

So a Team score is not equal to the combined score of its participants?

Chris score's since the 21st: 125 (22); 370 (23); 258 (24); 119 (25); 129 (26) (boincstats.com/en/stats/104/user/detail/2318/lastDays)

Dirk, do you not understand the difference between "pending validation" and validated? You only get points for work that is validated. Chris has had 0 validated during this event. You have only had the 28 from the 25th and 26th and potentially 24 from the 24th if they were included or partially included. The rest of your work units are still pending meaning no points until they validate. So, a team score IS equal to the combined score of its participants but only the work they complete AND validate (not pending) during the time frame of the challenge ONLY.

And to clarify my last sentence... Completed should be replaced with just work units that validate and are awarded points during the event since BOINCStats does not exclude work units that were finished earlier and validated later.

So you are sayong 6,724 (AMD Users at the moment) is equal to 5,212 (my score at the moment) plus 258 (Chris score at the moment). I still miss 1,400 points!

First, I am basing this off the number from Constellations page. So, you need to understand that at Constellation, your team only has 34 total members. Only one of which (YOU) has validated ANY work that can be seen from the results of YOUR and Chris' machines at CONSTELLATION. So, if it helps you may want to mosey on over to Constellation and check your hosts and look through the work units you not only completed but specifically the ones that are VALIDATED. Look at those dates and add them up. Then look at Chris' work and tell me where you see a single validated work unit between Sept. 24th and now.

And that statement again, is solely speaking of the duration of this event because clearly your team mates completed work in the past. You are the only one with validated work as far as I can see per Constellation. The numbers you see from BOINCStats you need to talk to Willy about to explain.

I want you to explain the 1,400 difference between our combined personal scores and the team score. Somehow you give the impression that you use two wildly differing computations to get your scores. One of the two figures is right, not both.

I am solely talking about the figures that are presented in this challenge scores on these BOINCStats pages, not about what is validated or not on the Constellation site. Why do the numbers HERE do not add up?

I see what you are saying looking at BOINCStats numbers. Again, for that you have to ask Willy. However, if you add up your total points earned using the number you got at Constellation, what does that dome to? The individual stats may be updated differently. I don't know.

It is not the job of the organizer to explain the workings of a third party site. If you want to know why your team is getting more credit than it deserves, email Willy. Pretty simple.

Willys says team scores are as reported by the project and guesses that the server problems are a probable course of mismatch between personal scores and team scores. My team has the credit it deserves, I do not.

Hi Dirk, we got your point now. Please consider that everything here is built on a non-profit base. 'Loosing' 1.400 credits may be unpleasant ... but your are not dealing with paid professionals here. So, drink a beer and have fun

I had 64 threads down for about 8 hours today as I was moving things around in my office. Hopefully, I can build the momentum back up to recoup for lost time.
