There are rules for the shoutbox (rules) which you have broken on two occasions.

I don't feel the need to send emails when I delete a shoutbox post (it doesn't even have the option of doing this). If you had read the rules, you would've know the shoutbox was not the place to post bugs.

The shoutbox doesn't have the space for bug reports (notice how small it is). Another problem is that the shout moves of the screen after several posts, and nobody had any idea what it is about.

The shoutbox is for shouting small talk, nothing more.

Only shouts that do not correspond to the Shoutbox rules are deleted. And IPs are getting banned only if the shouter breaks consitently the rules. So there is no need to worry

And please do not post with CAPS LOCKED. This is also mentioned in the Forum rules

AND THE FIRST WAS JUST A QUICK REPLY TO SOME ONE ELSE LETTING THEM KNOW THAT IT WAS NOT JUST THEM AS THE PROBLEM THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT WAS COMING FROM THE FACT THAT MAYBE THE SERVER WAS LOADED AND SO FORTH LIKE THAT.

BTW (and Son Goku 3SSJ may correct me if I'm wrong): there have been no IP's banned since BAM was launched.

how do you delete bam accounts? and unjoin this group? This is no way to treat people that volunteer their time and computer for diffrent projects, after this has happened I am not sure that I will continue with boinc at all. This group of "owner's" here has left a bad taste in my mouth!

I have thought about it and it is not the projects fault, so you do not need to download my data anymore, and I will be more then glad to tell others about this group and the way I see it. the people here are nice but the group mods are diffrent. so please ban this email address and what whatever it is you do to play god and make yourself feel better!

You are complaining to a volunteer, who invests considerably time and money in the community, and who is in no way on any projects payroll, who supplied you with a fine tool without payment?

Just in case you didn't know:

BOINCstats is no official project!
BOINCstats is just for the fun of boincing.
Willy has a real life, that'y not BOINC-only.
BAM is just a nice try to make boincing easier, it's nothin "official" as well.
It's just like any other site that surrounds the BOINC projects, like team sites, stats sites, fora...: You can like them or not, but don't confuse them with the projects themself.

Nevertheless, some netiquette is needed here, and part of it is RTFM! If you don't read the FAQ, and if you scream (using capitals only is screaming) is not nice behaviour.

The shoutbox is, as the owner here states, and as most of us know since several years, only for smalltalk. For questions use the forum.

If you don't want to use BAM any more, simply go to your BOINC and "Defect from BOINCstats BAM" under "Advanced" (that's at least with my Linux 5.4.9). Don't like it? Don't use it.

In my view it is not 'polite' to advertise ones product on the website of somebody else without the consent of the owner/administrator of the other website. Posting in the shoutbox means posting on the frontpage. You don’t see a BMW advertisement on the frontpage of the Mercedes site either (although I admit this is a little far fetched).

You have your own topic in the BOINCstats forum where you advertise your program and (can) discuss it with other people. That’s fine with me; I even encourage people to use the forum for this.

But the shoutbox is for small talk, not for advertising.

When your program is finished, I’d be happy to put in a news item on the frontpage.
