Hi Willy,
I just had to answer something that was well answered on this site, but hard to find. The instructions on how to use BAM! are nowhere linked in the FAQ, neither is the "start page" of BAM!.
Imho it's not self evident to click on the BAM!-Logo to get information, the first way is the FAQ.

And something else was quite strange in the FAQ:
Why do we have some very few project descriptions in there, but not all? And why for f*** sake is Xtreme in there, a dead project? Imho you should ditch all those descriptions (perhaps with the exception of the co-hosted project), even if I lose my long, hard worked on, Sztaki translation by this

FWIW, I think that GridRepublic has some pretty decent project descriptions. I also like how it gives stats about active users, and who's got a stake in the results.

Well, the stats I've seen on GR (some time ago) only show total progress of a project and the way they present it is like all that work is done by GR users.

But for real, it's not a stats site, what stats do they have that can't be found here?

Perhaps I should have said "info" instead of stats... I was pointing out that they have good descriptions of the projects, to help determine which ones you want to crunch for.

I've asked the project admins several times for a description of their project (using the boinc projects mailing list) because they should be able to provide the best descriptions. Unfortunately, only a handful took the trouble of doing this, most of them don't seem to care.

Unfortunately, I think most of the admins don't do a very good job of describing their projects... At least, not in terms that most crunchers would understand.

Perhaps I should have started 2 threads

My main concern was this paragraph, it was while searching for links to the BAM! instructions in the most likely place to find them, the FAQ, that I didn't find what I looked for but these project descriptions.

Imho two questions should be included in that page (wording up for discussion, just improvised in my breakfast break):
Where can I find the description of BAM!
It's linked from the logo on top left corner of this site. It's URL is : http://boincstats.com/bam/

How can I use BAM?
Follow the instructions given here: http://de.boincstats.com/bam/instruct_attach.php
