With the number of projects that some of us participate in, the signature graphic is getting kind of long/tall. Some forums have restrictions on the length of sig graphics. Is there any chance we could get a signature design that was wider, with multiple columns of projects and credit counts, instead of it all being one column? That might result in a more banner-ad shaped sig, instead of the boxier one we have now.

Could do this, but I'm not much good in designing things like that (layout and stuff), so if somebody has a suggestion about what the a new signature should look like, post the design here.

Easiest thing would be just organising it into two colums.
This will also allow for longer user names (especially when a user has diffrent names in diffrent projects)
Instead of 'BOINC' in bottom row, there's place for BOINC Combined or something similar.

Mchl's take on the layout it is pretty much what I was suggesting (with the user's projects split across the 2 columns, obviously, instead of duplicating). I can even see pushing it to 3 columns, if someone had a long enough project list.

So, is this doable?

I changed the script for the signature, and you can now choose between 'box' and 'banner' style (I'm sure some people prefer the box-style and will complain when it's not available anymore).

Maybe add a carriage return between 'BOINC Combined Stats' and the Boinc Stats graphic - other than that I love it!

Well, the point was to get a 'shorter' image. Adding line feeds would defeat that.

I would like to see an automatic thing. For example once you hit 8 or 10 projects it automatically switches to the banner style.

I Don't think it's a good idea. Single column design is handy for webdesign.

Good point. I didn't think of that.

I wonder how hard it would be to make three different sigs. Auto, force column, and force banner.
