http://boincstats.com/en/page/projectStatusInfo thinks SETI@Home has only 8 tasks to be sent out, but in reality it has 2+0+503,437=503,439. Similar story about Results in Progress: 192,444 vs. 38,960+153,373+4,084,332=4,276,665

I was looking at other projects, too, and something fishy going on with Enigma, as well. BS reports 54,852 to be sent, http://www.enigmaathome.net/server_status shows 9,807. I doubt between the time BS took a snapshot and now, the numtasks changed by that much, but still a possibility.

Same with Climate Prediction: 31,551 at BS vs. 7,846 at http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/server_status.html.

Same with PrimaBoinca: [0,0] for [Ready,InProgress] on BS, but [51,30441] on http://www.primaboinca.com/ home page (couldn't find a Server Status page).

Same with Seti@Home Beta: [0,0] for [Ready,InProgress] on BS, but [6153,20366] on http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/server_status.php.

I think that is it, unless I skipped over one unknowingly.

BOINCstats reads from this XML: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.xml. Which seems totally different from your numbers.

All the projects except SETI and WCG use that url for the project stats.

Well... Seti@Home Beta is [0,0] for [Ready,InProgress] on http://boincstats.com/en/page/projectStatusInfo, but [3975,20213] in http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/server_status.php?xml=1:

I tried the following URLs:

Enigma: http://www.enigmaathome.net/server_status.php?xml=1: I get a page complaining about itself containing syntax errors instead of the XML version of http://www.enigmaathome.net/server_status.

Climate Prediction: http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/server_status.php?xml=1: It silently reverts back to the human readable http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/server_status.html.

PrimaBoinca: http://www.primaboinca.com/server_status.php?xml=1: I get an error page indicating to the devs as to what to do. Otherwise, their mini status report is on their main page http://www.primaboinca.com/; I couldn't find a dedicated Server Status page.

So:

Are these the URLs you are connecting to? But then I would have expected you just not get any values due to non-XML return, thus show 0, which you do only for PrimaBoinca. For Enigma and Climate Prediction you are showing some values that are not matching the corresponding HTML pages. So, I am confused as to where those come from. If I knew exactly what you are looking at and what you are getting, leading you to those 0 or non-zero wrong values, I could try to report them on the corresponding forums.

But, SETI@Home Beta seems to be returning the correct XML with the correct data, but somehow the wrong 0 values end up being shown in BOINCstats. So, that should be possible to fix on your side.

All the projects where the "server_status.php?xml=1" link is not working are using old BOINC webcode and are not properly supported.

Enigma/CP/PB, I understand. Bummer. I will report them. What is the exact URL you are looking at for CP?

SETI: Fixed? 3.5hrs after your post, I see your http://boincstats.com/en/page/projectStatusInfo as showing [0,158295] for [Ready,InProgress], but their site http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html shows [0+0+512067,26550+65599+4332524] while their XML http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.xml still shows the wrong [0+0+0,26522+65463+65463] which matches what you are showing. So, I am guessing that you mean you are reading and adding up their XML correctly, and it will work once they fix their XML, right?

SETI Beta: You are using http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/status.php?xml=1, which doesn't work. But they are saying the URL is actually http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/server_status.php?xml=1, and that one works correctly. So, you should be able to change the URL you are looking at, and it should be fixed.

Changed the url for SETI beta.

"server_status.php?xml=1" for CPDN.

I compared the totals for SETI from the XML with what is written to the DB and just after the update the totals are correct.

SETI Beta: I still see [0,0], but assuming that is the delay in data propagation to the web servers, right? It should show up any minute now? {EDIT: Yup, there they are}

Climateprediction has updated their status XML and should now show correct data on BOINCstats.

- I see the human-readable http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/server_status.html (which I reached from their link on their home page http://www.climateprediction.net/) showing "Tasks ready to send 0, Tasks in progress 101,359",

- but the XML at http://www.climateprediction.net/server_status.php?xml=1 showing "<results_ready_to_send>31551</results_ready_to_send><results_in_progress>81235</results_in_progress>",

- and see your http://boincstats.com/en/page/projectStatusInfo displaying "336,101418".

They are all different.

Keep in mind that BS downloads these numbers every 15 minutes. They will be different from the project (especially if it's a high traffic project) since these numbers will probably have changed by the time the XML parser reaches the end of the file.

The interesting thing is that their new XML doesn't exactly match what they show on the server_status web page. It is not an issue of time delay. The "Tasks in progress" has been around 97,312 for a while, but the "Tasks ready to send" is stuck at 0 on their human readable page, and stuck at 336 in their new XML. I'll report...

Just sneaking this into this thread...

I am thinking it might be a good idea to make the results/workunits/transitioner numbers in http://boincstats.com/en/page/projectStatusInfo to also be links to the XML files they are getting their data from, and the online/offline status values to also be links to page URLs that you check to decide.

Just a thought.
