I am trying to change my email address. I supply the new address and provide the password and confirmation, then I am told that an email has been sent to the new address for confirmation.

I never receive this confirmation email. Waited 30min so far.

Its a brand new email account, no spam filter or anything.

Please assist

Hi, I retried, no luck. Waited 15min.

The confirmation email does not arrive.

I sent a test e-mail from another email account and it did arrive at my new account. SO the new email account is working.

Possibilities:

1. The auto confirmation email is never sent from BOINCSTAT.
2. The email is not relayed by other SMTP servers? Possible blacklisting of BOINC SMTP server?
3. The mail is in queue to be sent and there is just a huge backlog.

I checked the outgoing mail and two were send to you today. According to the mail server they were delivered to the receiving server without errors.

Did you try checking the Junk/Spam folder? Normally they don't get flagged, but sometimes spam filters erroneously flag them.

Also, are you making sure you are viewing all messages (vs priority/important messages view)?

Thank you. I can confirm that I have NOT received any. Its a brand new email account. It has 1 single test email from myself in it. There is nothing in the spam / junk folder.

Ill take it up with my ISP to check if they are doing any spam filtering on my behalf.

I've got one bounce in the last week which probably explains what the problem is:
54 The IP Address of the sender (209.85.223.171) was found in a DNS blacklist database and was therefore refused.

That is an IP address from Google's mail servers (which BOINCstats uses). Somebody has probably submitted this to a blacklist.
