Well, actually, if you want to get down to specifics, it's actually two cpu's slapped together under a single heat spreader.

I thought the format was "sockets(cores)"? That would make these 1(4), regardless of how they are grouped on the chip, right?

Thanks! I hear the next gen 4-core from intel will be a real 4-core (not 2x2core on a chip). I think it is due out sometime in 2007.
