When I click the up/down arrows at the top of the columns, the screen refreshes like it's doing something, but the order doesn't change.

It's not only hosts, it's all tables. It's some kind of MySQL fluke. MySQL on the www server was updated to the latest version, but it seems it has some bugs.

Anybody knows how to roll back MySQL to a previous version on Debian?

Found it... Finally.

It appears the new MySQL version is stricter regarding query syntax, and it rejected the order I programmed (two years ago). I updated all queries to obey the required syntax.
