Hi Willy

I have a little issue here concerning the stats
I am showing to be part of a team while i am actually with non of the projects here part of any team.

The reason i think why it shows me in that team is that i run in boinc the WCG project i have setup this project under a totally different name which is part of a team for the stampede periode.

After this stampede i am gonna remove it again since i don't like this project which has weird rules.
I consider points to be personal and not owned by a team ( i pay the electric bill nobody else )

But for good old times i joined for this stampede with Team_Elteor_Borislavj.Bronan so i guess BAM finds this project and seems to add me to their stats.

I have tried to setup a different map with a empty boinc client but it messes up my running projects so i stopped trying todo that.
Boinc simply finds the old and deletes all old instances, i was lucky i had a backup but still made CPDN crash as usual.

You are seeing expected functionality of BOINCstats. For your combined stats you are listed as a member of the team which you belong to in the highest number of individual projects. Since you are only a member of one team (happens to be for only one project) that team is associated with your combined stats. If you look at any of your individual project stats pages other than WCG you will see no team listed, as expected. Once the stampede on WGC is done and you drop out of the team there it should also vanish from your BOINCstats combined report as well.

Also note that any credit that you contributed with the team stays with them; when you leave, they will not lose any credit. You won't either, but credit you earn while on a team is "owned" by them, contrary to your opinion of how it should be. Not trying to argue whether this is right/wrong, just pointing out how it works. This comes from BOINC itself, not BOINCstats.

Correct, apart from CPDN & related project BBC Climate Change, where the credits move with the user.

You do not lose point to teams, you always keep your own points. While a member of a team, the team gets the same amount of points as you do.

Willy's right, you know. Any credits you earn from any project are yours forever - even if a project is retired. The only exception to this is when a project has problems.... Freehal in it's first week(s) attracted loads of users who got lots of credits, then the project developer changed the whole application and zeroed everyone's creds and basically restarted the project from scratch. The project lost most of its crunchers. Then there was an episode with SHA-1, which gave 1000 creds to all team founders for free - a server error which was later corrected and the credits removed.

Apart from these very rare episodes, what you crunch is yours. As I posted before, a team can lose credits if a user has CPDN or BBC credits, as these travel with the user, but it's only the team that loses credits.

Where do you think you lost credits???

In WCGb is written when you leave a team the credits will stay with the team
but seems every project has it own rulez about how they deal with this.
Sadly its not entirely true that projects don't loose points if they are retired because i lost a few here and there, i discussed some with Willy and he stated also some retired projects made me loose at least 3500 but i am not sure which projects they where the only project i am certain off is rieselsieve which disappeared.
But to be honest i did many projects and stopped some because of the messing with points indeed like freehal and some others, or like rosetta which favors intel machines, and from which my posts where banned from their forums.

Beste Webbie, Dear Webbie,

You are still in the DPC team, but with the username "Team_Elteor_Borislavj.Bronan" and only for the WCG project.
You joined that team on 30-3-09 and gathered 79,518 WCG-points equals 11,359.714 Boinc-credits during your teammembership.
Your personal credits with that name in WCG is 11637.285
Somehow you created a new WCG-account with the name "Webbie" without a team joining and gathered 200.71428 Boinc-credits.

Hartelijke groet, Cheers.

Maybe it's an idea for you to start your own team and join that team on all projects. Now when you make a 'guest appearance' on another team, like you did earlier, you won't be listed as being part of the other team in the combined stats.
Of course, credit gathered while being part of the other team won't be added to your own teams total, even after switching back to your own team on that project.

Well, it seems you finally managed to leave the team.

You guys where right about how to solve it, but it took a while and i found yet another person has registered with my old handle/alias preventing me to register with another project.
So nothing else to do then find a new special one which nobody uses but still its sad since i had that handle since the alpha stage of the early seti and ud project when they where not even open for public.
So thanx for explaining and for the ideas on this

thats not me since that project does not allow same names like other projects who base it on the CPID where you can have multiple accounts having the same handle but still being different.
If you look at DPC you will find another Webbie which is also not me.

With this name change i probably won't have this issue anymore since this handle is unique and makes no sense to other people
