I improved the algorithm. It's not easy to make a fitting algorithm for all those CPU's out there

Obviously Okay, it's not the newest processor, but I think host #1 has still a complete CPU
(Hosts 1 - 2):
Pos.	CPU #CPU	Operating System
1 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.50GHz 0.5(1) Microsoft Windows XP
2 Intelx86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 3 696MHz 1 Microsoft Windows NT

PS: And the quote directive still can't handle the "squared bracket close" in your ID. I removed the closing one.

I take that back. Meanwhile I saw that the brackets get filtered out by the "quote" link. I had copied&pasted it manually. :-)

Perhaps only one logical processor (half a P4 HT core) is available to BOINC in that instance?

Hi, in my case, all non-HT P4 have "0.5(1)" CPUs and all HT P4 have "1(2)".
My C2D have "1(2)" but my (HT-enabled) Atom N270 (netbook) has "2"!

Changed the algorithm again.

Thanks. It's okay now (at least for my hosts ).
