I guess this is a bug...I recently got a very nice laptop computer, and since it is a quad-cpu I installed BOINC on it and connected it to my BAM! account. In BOINCstats, my total points seem to be reported correctly, but when I go to look at individual host stats, the laptop has no history. all of its points are always credited on the day I look, and it is always reported as "first seen on" the day I look. I think this may have to do with the fact that I run it in a few different locations, so it has a different IP address, but its host CPID appears to remain "34604d3b7e03815bc98a972c548075bf" each time I look. Again, I'm not sure if this is a fixable bug, or a feature caused by coming from different IP addresses at different times. Since I am getting all my credits on my overall stats page, I'm not particularly concerned, but if you get a chance to look at this I would appreciate it.

I love the work you've done to make all of this function.

This is - in my opinion - a bug of BOINC 6.10.56/58.
See the following threads:
http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=5758
http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=5552

I see my laptop split into multiple hosts (split along the projects) every time I change the network (i.e. IP address). The split hosts then merge into the newest host eventually, but all history for the host is gone.

I've had this problem since 6.10.36. See my post: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=5524&nowrap=true#31469. Seems to be an ignored bug!

Well, I'm glad it's not just me. I guess for awhile I may only let BOINC connect when I'm at home and see if that does any better.

Thanks.

P.S. Also, I did realize after I first posted, that I do indeed have different host CPIDs at different IP addresses.

You shouldn't be losing any credit; unless you're the kind who likes to micromanage your host stats it shouldn't be a huge issue.

It turns out, even staying connected only from home for the past 5 days, it still has decided that this morning is the first time BOINCstats as seen this computer, and as you say, I don't lose any credit, but I really would like to be able to keep up with the history of the hosts and I can't do that even staying on the same connection. Oh well, not fixable from here anyway.
