i figured out that my use number is 169768

so i followed the instruction in the FAQ and went to this url:

ahh but when i do that, i see someone elses stats. "lestat"

strange.. is this a common problem? what to do?

You need to use your combined account number. You are a new user and do not yet have a combined statistics account, but you will have after the daily update. Check your combined account page once the daily is finished for the ID for the signature image.

You haven't read the F.A.Q. detailed enough. There it says "BOINCStats ID" and not Project Account ID. And like Rytis said:
You are a new user and do not yet have a combined statistics account, but you will have after the daily update. Check your combined account page once the daily is finished for the ID for the signature image.
