I thought I understood how BOINC, BOINCstats, and BAM! work. It runs in the background, and I look at it so seldom. There is no muscle memory.

So my main problem is that I cannot find what projects I can sign up for. I click on BAM! on the left panel, and then Sign-up for projects, and the list that appears there is all alpha and beta projects. The note at the top says that "It is advised not to participate in alpha or beta projects." If it is not recommended that I sign up for these projects, what can I sign up for?

When I click Projects. I see the projects that I am working on, but I do not see these eight projects in Sign-up for projects list. Is this because I am already working on them, and cannot add them again? By deduction, this means that I am doing work for all projects that are outside of alpha and beta. Could this be true?

I cannot see Asteroids@home anywhere in the BOINC system. Has it been removed?

In my opinion, you can disregard the "Alpha & Beta" designations in BAM! All these projects are STABLE and run with no problems except possibly LHCathome-dev) .
Correct. You won't see the projects you have signed up for in the "sign-up for projects list" since you already are attached to them.
Asteroids has been temporarily removed (retired) from list because the project was off-line for over a year. Recently, web site appears to of been restored, but project still is not producing any work.

@Willy: Maybe you can consider moving the current list of projects except LHCathome-dev in the "Alpha & Beta" designation list to "regular" status? All have been stable for many years.
* BTW @Willy What qualifies a project as Alpha or Beta test? Never seen any mention at projects of the designations in the 20+ years I have been running BOINC.

It's the default status the projects are created with. Back in the day it was all alpha stuff.

I've updated all projects and the default status when creating a project.
