As I understand, the stats for Einstein@home are updated once a day (approx. 22:00 h UTC) i.e. the daily overview an the overview tables at the buttom of my indvidual stats should be in synch at 22:00 h for a given day.

Here is my problem: After studying the stats for several days now I am quite sure that there is a delay of 1 day in receiving the credits and seeing them on BOINCstats.

These are my individual stats for today (16:30 UTC)
http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_graph...nstein&id=70674
and here are my collected credits for today as reported by Einstein@home:
http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/show_user.php...hp?userid=70674

I am pretty sure that even if my machine currently collected 2,899.60 Credits right now, the stats will show a smaller figure after updating BOINCstats at 22:00. It seems to me that the collected Cobblestones are reported one day later than they have been actually collected. The same applies to the average Credits.

Well I don't know if the problem is within BOINCstats or is an reporting error of Einstein@home. However it seems to me that some piece of software on either side should be corrected by one ;-)

Anyway you are doing a great job. The map-view is a real knock out.
Many thanks & have a nice weekend

Read the FAQ.

The project export-xml are not a realtime picture of the data base, but generated once or several times a day by the projects from the base.
The data in your account are realtime.

Sorry, I have read the FAQ. At 16:30 the account credits have been at 2146 for today. Yesterday it has been at 1843 for the 14.th. So obviously s/o has been working on the stats.

Just one for the road: Just keep on talking about your XML chaos. The software IS NOT WORKING LIKE IT IS DESCRIBED IN THE FAQ. Exclamation mark. Dot.

Just for your info.:
If you would have scrolled down the stats page you would have found out for yourself that this one:

can not be explained by some planned XML behaviour. This is IMHO some kind of -1- fault as I have registered @ 04/07/2005 whereas the stats start one day later . Why is there allready an entry for today if the stats will be updated later at 22:00h? 2,615 credits have been yesterdays 22:00h value. If the values would have been shifted to the right overwriting the values in column 2005-04-09 the table would reflect the actual processing history.

I followed up the reporting rules so there is no reason for you for being patronizing towards my inquiries at all.

you joined on 7th April.

did you have any credits granted on the 7th before the xml stats were released.

if you didnt, the results you returned by x time on the 8th were included on the xml of the 8th.

Also Willy only shows users/crunchers who have gained credits in the stats. That is you may have returned wu`s on the 7th but may not have had credits granted on that date.

if you're not happy, get your money back.

PS im very very drunk. Its taken me 25 mins to write this

your eight sided friend

hello octagon!

For the xml-chaos look here: http://217.67.229.234/forum/viewtopic.php?t=388

For everything else:
The (very good) manual for Boinc is the BOINC Powered Projects Documentation by Paul D. Buck and the FAQ therein?.

For information regarding Credits look here!
