Hello,

for some years i use the same username in nearly every project. Now i changed it within nearly every active project. In retired projects i can´t change it because most webpages doesn´t exists anymore.

My problem is that i need only the new name within the signatures.

Can someone please give me a hint whether it will change in boincstats by itself within some time (how long?) or if i can change it myself?

Within BAM i can´t edit the username, within the faq is said: "If you signed up to project x with username 'boinc' and in project y you used 'stats', your combined account will have 'boinc / stats' as user name."

I haven´t found more information for my problem.

Can someone please help me with simple words. Simple for i´no native speaker as you´ve noticed for sure ;-)

If you were a member of BAM! when the projects were marked as retired, you can "Sync retired projects" and get them under your current username. Otherwise, you're SOL.

Trying to sync retired projects i only get:

"You don't have credit in retired projects or the project accounts are not registered in BAM!."

What´s "SOL"? I don´t know this Phrase

Any other ideas? Probably deleting my BAM Acount and setting it up new in some days?

To everyone:
Deleting BAM! accounts doesn't solve problems, especially not with your stats. It will only get you in to more trouble because you loose the link with retired project which are now in your account.

And why didn't you post your explanation here, for other non-native English speakers? I didn't find an appropriate entry on wikipedia, so I too am without a clue.
