In recent days, apparently carried out on my home computer via a Trojan horse hacker attacks. According to current information, the server FreeHAL the project were not affected, but these were also the end of March seized by the police and possibly be used as evidence.

The possibility of a compromise of the BOINC server can be excluded since no unauthorized access is to be the compiler or the secret key. The aim of the attacks apparently was blackmailing several people from my private life, a school and a university.

Unfortunately we have yet no precise information about the nature and scope of the investigation, therefore no conclusion can yet be made as to when a controlled operation is again possible. We try to explain this matter as quickly as possible.

Beschlagnahmung unserer Server
In den letzten Tagen wurden offenbar über meine privaten Computer mittels eines Trojaners diverse Hackerangriffe durchgeführt. Nach aktuellem Kenntnisstand waren die Server des FreeHAL-Projekts nicht betroffen, trotzdem wurden diese ebenfalls Ende März von der Polizei beschlagnahmt und werden ggfs. als Beweismittel verwendet.

Die Möglichkeit einer Kompromittierung der BOINC-Server kann ausgeschlossen werden, da kein unberechtigter Zugriff auf den Compiler bzw. die geheimen Schlüssel erfolgt sein kann. Das Ziel der Angriffe war anscheinend die Erpressung mehrerer Personen aus meinem privaten Umfeld, einer Schule und einer Universität mittels der Veröffentlichung privater Daten der Betroffenen und der Androhung, Online-Shops zu sabotieren.

Leider liegen uns derzeit noch keine genaueren Informationen über Art und Umfang des Ermittlungsverfahrens vor, daher kann noch keine Aussage getroffen werden, ab wann ein geregelter Betrieb wieder möglich ist. Wir bemühen uns, diese Angelegenheit möglichst schnell aufzuklären.
